HL Group is a Finnish privately-owned company. The roots of HL Group are in year 1942 when the company was established as an importer of bearings. Company’s long history and family ownership has always meant a certain approach to its business – all operations in HL Group are guided by long-term thinking instead of quarterly work.

HL Group was founded on 10th of April 1942 under the name Helsingin rauta- ja metalliliike Oy. In 2022 we did celebrate our journey as a technical wholesale professional.

HL Group is an ISO certified company

The management system of HL Group Oy conforms to the Quality management system standard ISO 9001:2015 and the Environmental management system standard ISO 14001:2015. The both ISO certificates cover HL Group’s purchase, marketing, sales and stockholding of industrial supplies, automotive spare parts and accessories, paints and refinishing products.

In accordance with ISO 9001:2015 HL Group consistently aims to provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system – including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

HL Group’s management system has been found to conform to the Environmental management system standard ISO 14001:2015, which means that we aim to:

  • identify and understand the environmental aspects of our activities, products and services,
  • consider the environmental impacts of our activities, products and services,
  • understand how important environmental aspects can be managed and controlled,
  • set clear goals to improve our environmental performance,
  • create environmental policy and set environmental goals,
  • identify the relevant legislation and the requirements of the authorities and stakeholders – and monitor compliance with these obligations,
  • develop the functionality of the system and improve our environmental performance.

HL Group Oy has been a member of EPTDA (the European Power Transmission Distributors Association) since 2011. EPTDA is the leading association for the industrial channel in Europe – setting the highest commercial, environmental, social and ethical standards. EPTDA is also the platform for continuous B2B connections between manufacturers and distributors. EPTDA currently has a membership of almost 260 leading companies in 34 countries across Europe, Middle-East and Africa. Its membership represents over 26 billion euros annual sales volume and 250 000 employees.
